Council agrees Labour idea
Labour Councillors on Hertsmere Borough Council gained approval from the whole council on their proposals to provide more public toilet facilities for residents. The idea is based on a scheme already in operation in many towns across the country. It was agreed at the meeting on Thursday evening that a partnership should be developed between the local Council and businesses in the area to help provide public toilet facilities. Many businesses would find it difficult, if not impossible to provide toilet facilities for non-customers, but with the help of the local Council in the shape of grants and advice it might be possible to expand the provision to more people. The Borehamwood Times covered the story here.
