Council agrees Labour idea
Labour Councillors on Hertsmere Borough Council gained approval from the whole council on their proposals to provide more public toilet facilities for residents. The idea is based on a scheme already in operation in many towns across the country. It is disappointing to have to write a letter to correct a piece of mis-information by a Tory councillor.
At the council meeting last month, Councillor Harvey Cohen proposed a motion on NHS dentists and the new dentists contracts.
The Labour group took the view that the new contracts are beneficial to patients. They are also financially beneficial to dentists, a minimum £80,000 per year. My colleague, Counc .... more here
Massive cuts planned
The tories controlling Hertsmere Borough council are planning thousands of pounds of service cuts over the following months. They are really hoping you won't notice, and they're out to blame everyone except themselves.

Sometimes it only takes three words to sum up the performance of the Tory controlled Hertsmere Borough Council; slow, incompetent, and uncaring.
They've gone on a spending spree at the waste and recycling department ever since they were all shamed by the audit commission report on recycling performance. It's excellent news that they are at last getting a much larger proportion of domestic waste recy .... more here
